The Role:
- Maintain the Oracle (Financials (“OFIN”), Procurement (“P2P”) and I Expense) Systems as follows;
- Maintain (create new/amend existing/disable) value in Chart of Accounts (COA)
- Maintain cross-validation and security rules in OFIN
- Maintain i-Expense and P2P table setup, e.g. PR and PO approval hierarchy
- Provide guidance and troubleshoot any system-related errors/problems encountered by users in their daily operation activities
- Check daily interface files from various subsystems into OFIN to ensure completeness
- Perform month-end closing, e.g. DCMS completeness checking, P2P month-end closing activities
- Perform user acceptance test (UAT) for all financial-related changes in Non-Insurance system
- Prepare, compile and ensure timely submission of Monthly & Quarterly Life Insurance Payment (E-Payment) Survey to Life Insurance Association of Malaysia (LIAM) and BNM
- As administrator of Gift and Voucher, perform surprise checks to ensure that sourcing and procurement are done in line with the GELM Procurement Policy
- Review and update the Standard Operating Procedures (“SOP”) as changes occur to the processes or annually.
- Coaching and training of subordinates
- Participate in Ad-hoc projects or any other function relevant to the job grade which may be assigned from time to time
- Maintain awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats, and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
- Highlight any potential concerns/risks and proactively share best risk management practices.

The Person:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Accounting/Business Administration/Finance/Insurance or a recognised professional accounting qualification.
- Fresh graduate or 1-year working experience, preferably with knowledge in Oracle Financial system
- Familiar with a computerised accounting environment
- Good time management and detail-oriented
- Meticulous and good with numbers
- Able to work independently and a good team player
- Proficient in Microsoft Office/Excel and good computer skills
- High level of integrity, takes accountability for work, and has a good attitude towards teamwork.
- Takes initiative to improve current processes and is adaptable to embrace new changes.
