Associate Director, Credit Monitoring & Management

Malaysian Industrial Development Finance (MIDF) – Petaling

Key Purpose
The day-to-day functions of the Credit Management Unit include the following:

  • Assess and recommend new credit lines for the Bank’s participation in corporate bonds and sukuk.
  • Conduct regular credit reviews of the Bank's corporate sukuk and bond commitments.
  • Evaluate and recommend the approval or rejection of requests from sukuk issuers.
  • Perform regular reviews of the Bank's debt market financing accounts.
  • Assess and recommend approval or rejection of requests from financing customers.
  • Conduct site visits to customers as part of the credit assessment process.
  • Prepare monthly credit review status reports and reports on accounts requiring special attention.
  • Perform Know Your Customer (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) onboarding and updates.
  • Carry out Economic Substance Compliance (ESC) assessments and classifications.

Key Accountabilities

Credit Review

  • Conduct credit reviews of treasury corporate accounts.
  • Execute credit reviews of debt market accounts that have been handed over.

New Credit Recommendations

  • Assess and recommend new credit line requests from the Treasury & Markets Department.

Credit Management

  • Continuously monitor the development and credit profiles of customers.
  • Address customer requests and evaluate them.
  • Make recommendations based on requests and ensure decisions are followed through.

CMM’s Periodic Reports

  • Prepare monthly account status reports.
  • Generate additional reports as needed.

Review and Recommend Improvements to the Bank’s Policies and Procedures

  • Contribute to the formulation of bank-wide policies.
  • Recommend improvements to operational procedures for Credit Management and Monitoring (CMM).
  • Review other policies, procedures, or manuals as necessary.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Accounting, Economics, Business, or Finance, from a recognized university.
  • Minimum of 5 years of prior experience in a bank or financial institution, with specific expertise in:
    • Credit appraisal and evaluation.
    • Interpretation and analysis of financial statements and spreadsheets.
    • Investment and corporate banking activities.
