Job Description & Summary
A career in Learning and Development, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to contribute to the success of our people by developing quality and relevant learning initiatives that constantly improve the PwC experience. You’ll help us identify and source the best instructors, develop learning and performance improvement solutions across traditional and virtual classroom environments, and consult with other areas of the Firm to ensure our curriculums and initiatives support the PwC strategy.
PwC is a thought leader in upskilling and we are looking for people who love to learn and help others do the same. We are in search of a key team member to be part of our Academy team in PwC Malaysia. You will be part of the client-oriented learning & development (L&D) team, managing, designing and delivering training programmes for a diverse suite of clients. The key to success is the ability to work together with various groups, within and outside of PwC, displaying both strong interpersonal and organisational skills as well as business acumen. Having a digital affinity will give you an added edge.
What you’ll be doing:
- Understand the strategy of the Business to develop and deliver targeted learning that will enable the Business to reach its goals.
- Understand the strategy of the Client’s to develop and deliver targeted learning that will enable the Client to reach its goals.
- Project delivery support and assisting the Engagement Manager in client engagements:
- performing risk checks
- building client proposals
- project preparation and progress through liaising with internal teams and external teams
- Venue and materials management
- evaluating courses and reporting via dashboards
- Design and deliver learning interventions (internal and external clients), including training programmes, with the guidance of the Engagement Manager.
- Build and manage relationships with stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience of working in learning & development, people function or consulting are desirable.
- An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work.
- Strong project management, problem solving, communication and influencing skills.
- Have an eye for detail.
- Ability to communicate proficiently in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Willing to ‘have a go’ and not be afraid to make mistakes or be challenged.
- Agile in embracing the pace of change.
- A good working knowledge of current and emerging organisational learning and development best practice strategies, theory, principles and technology.
- Understanding of adult learning theory; learning needs and performance gap analysis; instructional design, development and implementation; and assessment/evaluation of learning.
- Ability to exercise judgment and ensure appropriate involvement of stakeholders.
- This is a 1-year contract (renewable / conversion to permanent based on performance satisfactory).
