If you are looking to grow in an exciting career filled with opportunities and potential, we are seeking a professional to join our team as Associate/ Assistant Manager, Finance (Accounts, Operations and Systems)(IFRS 17).

The Job

  • Perform and support the IFRS4 Finance closing activities and Finance account reconciliations.
  • Leverage automated tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources to support IFRS 17 financial closings, reporting, and reconciliations.
  • Perform and support the reconciliation of IFRS17 reporting system outputs, ledger postings, and related IFRS17 accounts reconciliation.
  • Participate in the maintenance of databases and improving functionality of data systems outputs, which includes reorganizing data in a readable format.
  • Support the data management process which includes investigation and adjustment of any data from the reconciliation process.
  • Work with programmers, engineers, and work stream leads to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications, and devise steps to improve data quality as part of data governance.
  • Any ad-hoc duties assigned by supervisor.
  • Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats, and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
  • Highlight any potential concerns/risks and proactively share best risk management practices.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Our Requirements

  • Degree holder in Accounting or Finance, or a recognised professional accounting qualification.
  • 1-2 years of working experience in the related field would be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge in Oracle Systems and Microsoft Excel VBA would be an added advantage.
  • Experience in the insurance industry is an added advantage.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
  • Takes initiative to improve current processes and is adaptable to embrace new changes.
