About the Company:

Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA) is a Malaysian Federal Government statutory body tasked with the objective of regulating and driving various stakeholders in both public and private sector towards realizing the vision of developing Iskandar Malaysia into a strong and sustainable metropolis of international standing.

Overall Accountability:

Responsible for supporting the Head of Finance in the financial operation, reporting, and preparing the relevant reports required for the financial monitoring function which covers forecasting, financial monitoring, and financial governance as well as involvement as key project team members. Should also work as a crucial team member in the Finance Department and is expected to be knowledgeable and assist in all other financial aspects. Assist in the preparation of audit-related schedules and documentation for yearly audit matters. To perform other tasks related to the Department/Division’s roles.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or recognized professional qualification in Finance/Accountancy or other related disciplines from a reputable University.
• Member of a recognized professional accounting body such as MICPA, ACCA, ICAEW, CPA, or CIMA is an added advantage.
• Minimum 5-8 years of working experience in the related industry with at least 3 years in a management/supervisory role, preferably in a mix of international, local, and GLC/government environments.
• Existing networking with relevant statutory bodies and agencies is an added advantage.
• Sound knowledge in consolidation and Group Accounts including Accounting Standards.
• Knowledgeable in monthly and annual account closure, including consolidations.
• Experience in SST/GST, current and deferred taxation, including reporting to IRB.
• Knowledgeable in construction cost and infra works accounting.
