Job Responsibilities

• Perform annual capital management plan for banking group, bank entity, and Islamic bank in conjunction with the budget exercise, which includes:
• Assessment of capital requirement & utilization
• Planning for the following financial year capital activities/initiatives
• Supporting Group Risk for the annual ICAAP submission to BNM.
• Prepare proposal for capital initiatives and execute relevant capital raising activities via debt or equity for banking group, bank entity, and/or Islamic bank, which entails, amongst others, the following:
• Redemption and renewal of capital instrument
• Issuance of new capital instrument
• Set-up new capital programme
• Enhancement of existing capital programme
• Development of business case to ascertain the best approach to raise capital via equity
• Support management's discussion with shareholders
• Participation in the selection process of adviser(s) (if required)
• Preparation and submission of letter to BNM for approval via eApps and email.
• Execution of due diligence exercise (if required), which includes review responses provided by internal stakeholders for the due diligence questionnaire
• Review of mandate letter(s), transaction document, and other relevant documents in relation to the capital initiative - commercial terms; and/or
• Engagement and coordination with internal and/or external stakeholders.
• Perform quarterly peer benchmarking on capital adequacy ratios and capital issuances/programmes for banking group, bank entity, and Islamic banks.
• Perform peer benchmarking on dividend yields for banking group bi-annually.
• Monitor actual monthly capital adequacy ratios and capital buffer level for banking group, bank entity, and Islamic bank.
• Perform monthly capital forecast for banking group, bank entity, and Islamic bank.
• Ensure relevant policies, guidelines, and SOPs are updated and in compliance with regulatory guidelines, including streamlining of processes (if required).
• Perform adhoc activities in relation to capital that will be assigned from time to time.
• Support Risk & Compliance matters in relation to Capital Planning, including BCP, RCSA, CSA.
