About the role

Maju PBJ Sdn Bhd, a leading construction company, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Pusing, Perak. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our construction projects, ensuring efficient cost management and maximising profitability.

What you'll be doing

1. Preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
2. Analysing and managing costs, including material, labour, and subcontractor expenses
3. Negotiating and managing contracts with suppliers and subcontractors
4. Monitoring and controlling project costs to ensure adherence to budgets
5. Preparing progress reports and financial statements for project stakeholders
6. Assisting with the tendering process and bid preparation
7. Collaborating with project managers and other team members to ensure successful project delivery

What we're looking for

1. Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
2. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
3. Strong understanding of construction materials, labour, and cost management principles
4. Proficiency in using quantity surveying software and tools
5. Excellent communication and negotiation skills
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
7. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
