Production Planning and Scheduling: • Develop and implement comprehensive production schedules that align with company targets and customer demands. • Coordinate closely with procurement and logistics teams to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and components. • Take charge of the Pipe Extrusion and Re-pelletizing production processes, including parameter control.
Process Management: • Oversee daily production processes to ensure they run efficiently and comply with all company policies and standards. • Manage factory operations, including production, maintenance, and minor electrical troubleshooting. • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
Quality Assurance: • Maintain high standards of product quality through stringent process control measures. • Address and resolve any quality issues that arise during production, ensuring products meet all specifications. • Monitor daily production progress, product quality, waste management, and worker accommodation. Support monthly stock takes and oversee safety and housekeeping arrangements within the factory.
Team Leadership and Development: • Lead, manage, and mentor a team of production staff, including supervisors and operators, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. • Provide training, support, and development opportunities to enhance team members' skills and performance. • Oversee manpower planning, training, and supervision of staff and workers.
Budget Management: • Prepare and manage the production budget, ensuring that production costs are maintained within agreed-upon limits. • Monitor and report on production performance against the budget, identifying areas for cost-saving and efficiency improvements.
Reporting and Analysis: • Prepare regular reports on production performance, including metrics on output, efficiency, and quality. • Report daily progress, production output, waste management, and any necessary defect rectifications to the Assistant Factory Manager/Factory Manager. • Collaborate with the Planner, Quality Control, and Logistics departments to ensure smooth and timely product delivery. • Utilize data and analysis to identify trends, address issues, and uncover opportunities for operational improvement.
Preventive and Corrective Maintenance: • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure minimal production downtime and equipment reliability.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management role, preferably within the manufacturing industry for plastic products.
Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety standards.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a track record of process improvement.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage budgets effectively and drive cost-efficient production.
Proficiency in Mandarin is required to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking vendors.
