About the role:
As a Pricing Manager, you manage a team of Pricing Analysts to develop competitive, accurate price proposals for the sales team using pricing models, market intelligence, and additional inputs from relevant stakeholders.
In collaboration with Sales, Finance, Sourcing, Marketing, Supply Chain, and other functions, you drive profitability for your business unit. Your leadership supports the growth of your team and those around you. An ideal candidate will enjoy forming relationships, analyzing complex pricing models, driving profitability, and developing talents.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Manage team, ensuring pricing expertise, process execution, and team member development.
- Actively participate in the operational day-to-day pricing activities with the team, supporting members on complicated pricing flows/discussions with stakeholders and customers.
- Collaborate with Sales leadership and Finance Business Partners to adapt pricing approaches to dynamic business needs.
- Create price quotations, support sales with customer negotiations, and book contracts for business.
- Take pricing ownership of assigned accounts independently and proactively.
- Lead all pricelist-related activities including managing trade terms, preparing the pricelist at a regional and local level, and conducting profitability analysis with Cluster MDs.
- Understand how pricing actions drive EBIT impacts and make decisions in the best interest of the BC group.
- Utilize relevant pricing models and understand customer behaviors to drive accurate price setting.
- Develop and manage effective analytical reporting tools to support the business unit and the organization’s needs.
- Drive Self Service Pricing and other departmental initiatives with the team and impacted stakeholders.
- Understand commodity market fundamentals and gather in-depth knowledge on the chocolate and cocoa manufacturing process to improve the pricing process.
- Review business performance with finance counterparts and Managing Directors, discussing and applying corrective actions in the pricing approach.
- Assist management with training and onboarding of new team members.
- Translate global or regional pricing principles/initiatives into concrete actions for your team.
- Continuously evaluate our processes and recommend improvements to management.
Scope:
- Focus on regional pricelist.
- Country scope to be determined under region AMEA (Asia, Middle East, and Africa).
About you:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting/Mathematics/Statistics or a similar field.
- At least 7 years of professional working experience in a multinational environment with regional exposure.
- Experience in financial analysis, product costing, or business controlling; experience in advanced profit margin analysis and evaluation would be a plus.
- Able to establish good relationships with a diverse regional team.
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
- Experience in people management is desirable.
- The candidate is expected to be analytical, proactive, self-driven, and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Travel requirements: Less than 10%.
- May have to work on some public holidays to support regional coverage; fluency in an additional Asian language is a plus.
