Role Purpose:

The Assistant Manager, Talent & Excitement (T&E) will play a vital role to drive the operational and strategic aspects of human resources, aligning talent management initiatives with the business objectives for LUXASIA's Joint Venture entities and other LUXASIA functions in Malaysia. You will play a crucial role in cultivating a positive, high-performance culture, ensuring adherence to labor laws, and supporting our trajectory of growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Recruitment and Onboarding
    • Lead recruitment efforts for interns, contractors, and office employees.
    • Manage onboarding processes to ensure seamless integration and alignment of new hires with the company's values and goals.
  2. Employee Lifecycle Management
    • Oversee the entire employee lifecycle from hiring through offboarding, focusing on compliance, employee engagement, and smooth transitions.
  3. Budgeting and Payroll
    • Manage recruitment and payroll verification for local office and regional employees based in Malaysia.
    • Facilitate year-end performance reviews and KPI setting to support and develop talent.
    • Assist in budget planning for local Malaysian department functions, ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time to maintain employee satisfaction.
  4. Collaboration and Employer Branding
    • Foster partnerships with external entities, such as makeup schools and colleges, to maintain a strong talent pipeline.
    • Contribute to employer branding initiatives to attract high-quality candidates and reinforce the company's market presence.
  5. Employee Relations and Engagement
    • Support a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns and promoting engagement initiatives to build a motivated, high-performing team.
  6. Reporting and Ad-Hoc Projects
    • Track and report on employee movements and trends, leveraging data for insights that inform business needs.
    • Manage ad-hoc HR projects to support ongoing organizational growth.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in HR, with a focus on talent acquisition, HR management & development, compensation & benefits, employee relations, and engagement.
  • Prior experience in managing payroll, ER and IR are required.
  • Excellent communication and client engagement skills are required.
  • Strong organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Entrepreneurial and able to work in a fast-paced environment with numerous stakeholders.
