ASSISTANT MANAGER, SALES & EVENT SERVICES (CONVENTION CENTRE)

Responsibilities:

  • Implement sales and marketing plans, strategies, and activities for the Convention Centre.
  • Develop and penetrate new and existing business markets and clientele to grow sales revenue.
  • Maintain and strengthen business relationships with both existing and potential clients, as well as vendors.
  • Plan event layouts and coordinate with the operations team for seamless event execution.
  • Coordinate with caterers, suppliers, and venue bookings, and obtain necessary permits.
  • Manage and control event expenses, ensuring resources are used efficiently and within budget.
  • Conduct market intelligence, analyze competitor services, pricing, and strategies, and assess market trends.
  • Provide timely insights and recommendations to management based on market conditions.
  • Ensure all procedures, processes, and documentation are properly recorded and maintained.
  • Ensure team compliance with company SOPs.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Business Studies, Marketing, Event Management, Hospitality Management, or related fields.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in the hospitality or event industry, with a minimum of 2 years in an Assistant Manager role.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Expert interpersonal and client servicing skills.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills.
