Job description
Support the Head of Sales in developing, implementing, and achieving the sales business plan to attract clients to Desaru Coast.
Sourcing and securing destination events in line with Desaru Coast's commercial direction.
Support the development and implementation of strategic marketing and events partnerships across Desaru Coast, including active participation in relevant stakeholder meetings and event sponsorship/activation forums.
Promote the positive image of the destination and ensure guests are provided with excellent customer service.
Create, update, and maintain the client database.
Assist the Deputy General Manager / Sales Manager in the day-to-day operations of the Sales Department.
Coordinate all aspects of events and serve as the main point of contact for clients.
Conduct regular service audits, analyze customer feedback and data, and develop quality improvement strategies while providing strategic direction to management based on the analysis.
Conduct regular surveys to obtain data on customer needs, spending patterns, demographics, market trends, market intelligence, and other relevant data to analyze and interpret the data.
Deliver events within the budget set that meet overall client and management experience and expectations, such as footfall and revenue.
Able to strategize and plan the type of events that align with the agreed sales direction and plan.
Participate in marketing and sales activities highlighting Desaru Coast as a potential venue.
Responsible for the preparation and execution of destination events and activities within Desaru Coast.
Work with stakeholders and external clients to schedule all event needs into the appropriate facilities based on date and type of program, projected number of attendees, dining service needs, and other requirements such as meeting and group spaces.
Communicate and resolve problems effectively in a timely manner with event organizers and ensure matters are discussed with the immediate superior.
Foster and maintain contacts with a wide array of vendors to ensure consistent delivery of needed goods and services for conference and event programs.
Obtain detailed information from clients on event type and event requirements to ensure the success of events.
Work closely with the facilities staff to ensure the appearance and cleanliness of the space is appropriate for the client.
Ensure that all events comply with all government regulations and the company’s policies and procedures.
Coverage on external events on evenings and weekends when necessary.
Execute any other job requirements as assigned by the superior.
