Assistant Manager, Quality Assurance (Lumut)

We are Malayan Flour Mills Berhad, an established billions ringgit public listed food manufacturing company. We aspire to be a leading food manufacturing enterprise in the region and have also diversified our business from flour milling to the sale of raw materials and integrated poultry business. Our integrated poultry business includes the breeding and sale of day-old chicks, broiler and breeder farming, processing and sale of poultry products, and feeds milling. With over 50 years of experience and a workforce of over 2600 in Malaysia and Vietnam, as part of our expansion plans, we are seeking the right talents to be part of our winning team.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the overall quality assurance/control functions by effective planning, directing, controlling and following through product quality performance in the plant (including flour silo).
• Ensure quality objectives and product performance are met through constant monitoring and improvement of internal and external requirements.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, Food Act and Regulations, and best laboratory practices to meet stringent quality expectations by customers and regulatory bodies.
• Continuously review and monitor the quality assurance/control processes to find continuous improvements on procedures, methods, effectiveness, and resource utilization.
• Initiate troubleshooting to resolve problems arising from quality assurance/control issues.
• Continuously train and upgrade the skill and knowledge of subordinates, and motivate them to work together effectively and productively.
• Respond to customer complaints and external audits to ensure complaints and queries are attended to in specified timeframe.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related Science technical field.
• 5 years experience in quality management or related.
