Assistant Manager Pharmacy

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations to ensure efficient workflows, timely dispensing of medications, and adherence to hospital policies and best practices.
• Manage inventory, including procurement, stock control, and waste reduction, ensuring cost-effective availability of medications.
• Prepare and maintain readiness for hospital accreditation processes (e.g., MSQH, JCI, ISO) and ensure compliance with inspections and audits.
• Provide expert clinical support, including prescription review, discharge counseling, and patient education to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
• Lead specialized pharmaceutical services such as antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) and chronic disease management programs, collaborating with healthcare teams to enhance patient care.
• Propose innovations to improve services, efficiency, and patient outcomes to contribute to the pharmacy department's strategic goals.
• Supervise and mentor pharmacy staff, fostering professional growth through training programs and performance appraisals.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/ Master Degree in Pharmacy. Postgraduate specialization (preferred)
• Valid practicing certificate and registration with the relevant professional board (e.g., Pharmacy Board).
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in hospital or clinical pharmacy (specific years can be tailored).
• Demonstrated experience in leading or participating in hospital accreditation processes such as MSQH, JCI and ISO.
• Proven leadership, communication, and training skills, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
