Job description

MINDSET Care Limited ("MINDSET") is the Community Impact and Corporate Social Responsibility ("CSR") initiative of the Jardine Matheson Group of companies in Singapore ("Jardines" or "the Group") which employs over 15,000 individuals in Singapore. It is a registered charity that has received numerous awards including the prestigious Elected President's Award for Doing Good from the National Voluntary and Philanthropy Centre.

This role will drive and implement MINDSET's initiatives in line with its strategic objectives and according to the annual work-plan. MINDSET plays a significant role in the Group's and Jardine Cycle & Carriage's overall sustainability and ESG strategy in the Singapore business community - being part of the Group's Strategic Inventory of Good in making a positive impact in the Singapore Mental Health space.

The Jardine Matheson Group companies in Singapore consists of Jardine Matheson (Singapore); Cycle & Carriage Singapore; DFI Retail Group (7-Eleven; Cold Storage; CS Fresh; Giant; and Guardian Health & Beauty); Gammon Construction; Hongkong Land; Jardine Cycle & Carriage; Jardine Engineering Corporation; Mandarin Oriental, Singapore; Maxim's Caterers Limited (Genki Sushi; and Starbucks Coffee); and Schindler Lifts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This role reports directly to the Head of MINDSET, with ultimate reporting line to the CEO of MINDSET, with the following key areas of responsibility:

  1. Lead the employee volunteers ("Jardine Ambassadors") programme, as part of the Group's CSR efforts, especially in driving mental health awareness and fundraising initiatives and events of varying scales (from 10 pax to over 3,500 attendees), and the managing of budgets, timelines, volunteers' trainings, etc.
  2. Develop internal programmes and engage with all Jardine businesses on workplace mental health initiatives, e.g. measurement index, policies and best practices, to address the mental health, wellbeing and resilience of Jardine employees.
  3. Build and strengthen Singapore's mental health network, including partnerships with social service agencies, external employers, government/statutory boards, etc, to collaborate on initiatives and programmes in advancing the purpose of MINDSET.
  4. Support MINDSET and the Group's Environmental, Social and Governance ("ESG") development and reporting.
  5. Be responsible for the internal and external communications and branding efforts of MINDSET such as content creation, corporate website and social media management, publications such as Annual Reports and newsletters, impact reporting and awards applications, etc.
  6. Perform other back-end key tasks of MINDSET and its related activities including financial processes and audit, inventory management, calendar scheduling, preparing high-level meeting agendas and minutes, filing, etc.
  7. Other responsibilities as required with the development of MINDSET.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES

  1. A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Social Work, Business Management, or a related field is preferred.
  2. A minimum of five years of experience in a relevant field, such as social work, corporate social responsibility (CSR), or non-profit management, is required. Demonstrated success in stakeholder management across diverse organizational levels is essential. Experience in project and events management is highly desirable.
  3. Knowledge of Singapore's mental health sector and workplace mental health policies and practices is a significant advantage.

SKILLS

  1. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English are crucial, including proven ability to create and edit compelling content for various platforms (articles, reports, website copy, social media posts).
  2. Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, influence decision-making, and lead teams or projects effectively.
  3. Exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently are essential.
  4. A demonstrated passion for social causes, particularly mental health, and a proactive, results-oriented approach to work are critical.
