ASSISTANT MANAGER/MANAGER - ACCOUNTING SYSTEMS
- Responsible for maintaining of the accounting / ERP system, i.e. maintenance of chart of accounts, customers and vendors, inventories and fixed asset items, bank accounts & reconciliations, intercompany transactions setup & mapping, financial reports setup, system settings, etc.
- Assist Senior Accountant in facilitating all matters relating to system migration project, i.e. chart of accounts setup, balance and transaction migration, compiling migration templates, data mapping, process flow, authorised signing personnel, approval matrix & etc.
- Familiarise with all the settings and features of the modules and tools, including group consolidation module, e-invoicing module, taxation reporting tools within the accounting / ERP ecosystem and be hands on with data extraction and data pivoting to be used by respective departments across the organisation.
- Provide system support for users and troubleshoot user issues for all modules.
- Understand user requests from various departments and communicate with external system vendors on system add-ons, new modules, reporting layouts, settings & etc.
- Facilitate meetings with external system vendors on ongoing system issues, vendor system support, new user requests, system migration, data integration matters, etc.
- Provide on-the-job trainings and refresher courses to current users and newcomers on existing features of the system,as well as new featurebriefing and updates.
- Assist in the setup of new companies within the accounting / ERP system for financial and operational reporting purposes.
- Assist operation sites on the secondary systems (system operated at site) integration to the Primary accounting / ERP system across the organisation, mainly on data integration and data mapping.
- Liaise with IT department on matters such as hardware compatibility, network reception, system integration issues relating to the accounting / ERP system.
- Liaise with HR department on newly recruited staff, reassigned staff, resigned staff, absconded staff to update the user information in the accounting / ERP system.
- Assist Senior Accountant on accounting/finance & ERP system related matters as and when required.
- Any other ad-hoc tasks as delegated by direct supervisor or HOD.

Job requirements:
- Possess at least Bachelor degree or Professional degree in Accounting or equivalent;
- ACCA/CPA/ClMA/MIA qualified member (or partially qualified with plans to complete and obtain professional membership);
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in relevant field;
- Must possess working and hands-on experience in full set accounts, financial reporting and accounting/finance/treasury operations;
- Essential to be bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese (conversing, reading and writing);
- Possess ability and skills in working with Microsoft Office(Words, Excel, PowerPoint, One drive, Outlook is a must), experience in using Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or other relevant ERP systems is an added advantage;
- Prior working experience in audit firm is an added advantage;
- Background in Information Technology (IT / Systems / Software) is an added advantage;
- Experiences with MFRS / IFRS reporting standards, group consolidation, group financial reporting and disclosures, financial instruments and derivatives, taxation, foreign exchange translations, GAAP vs MFRS reconciliations are added advantages;
- Ability to adapt and work in fast paced environments with strict deadlines;
- Ability to communicate across departments from junior clerical staff all the way to senior managers and HODs;
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, with traits of high integrity and data confidentiality especially dealing with financial data and accounting systems;
- Must be willing to travel to domestic region or overseas on occasional basis as and when required. Job post is primarily stationed at Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
