Job description

Job Title: Assistant Manager, Joint-Airline Business & Partnership Strategy

Reports To: Senior Manager, Joint-Airline Business & Partnership Strategy

Role Purpose:

Supports the development, translation, and execution of key business partnerships for MAG.

Key Accountability:

  1. Drive and execute the strategic assessment of the partnership (existing and future) in view of performance/priorities for MAG.
  2. Support the initiation, implementation, and development of the different joint businesses, including coordination with MAG business units and partners.
  3. Support the management of joint steering committees, negotiations, and meetings with airline partners and the Steering Committee for Pillar 3 of the MAG Business Plan.
  4. Lead specific workstreams, mini-projects, or analytics work to support decision-making related to partnership strategy for MAG.
  5. Manage negotiations with partners.

Qualification & Experience:

  1. Degree in Law, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Commerce, or Business Administration with at least 7-8 years of working experience in fields related to business planning, analytics, or strategy. Strong preference for candidates with an airline commercial background.
  2. Master's degree in Law, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Commerce, or Business Administration with at least 4-5 years of working experience in fields related to business planning, analytics, or strategy. Strong preference for candidates with an airline commercial background.

Key Challenges:

  1. Ability to effectively support the execution of the identified partnership priorities and plans in a cohesive and timely manner.
  2. Ensuring the targeted joint-business agreements are implemented according to the expected timelines by working closely with key airline and regulatory stakeholders.
  3. Ability to work cohesively with other working groups within MAG and airline partners' working teams to ensure seamless implementation of the targeted partnerships and incremental revenue in line with expectations.
