With the intention of expanding their team here in Malaysia, they are looking for an Assistant Manager, IT, as an addition to the team.

Your new role

  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders across all organisational levels to ensure alignment and clarity on project objectives and progress, while managing and coordinating IT projects to ensure timely delivery within scope and budget constraints.
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements, and collaborate with IT and business teams to design and implement technology solutions that fulfil those requirements.
  • Pinpoint opportunities for optimising business processes and devise solutions to boost efficiency and effectiveness, while analysing data to uncover trends, address issues, and identify areas for growth.
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust Java applications, while leading technical discussions, defining architecture, and making strategic decisions to align with and advance business objectives.
  • Promote and integrate DevOps practices, such as CI/CD pipelines and automated testing, while mentoring junior and mid-level developers to support their growth and development.


What you'll need to succeed
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in Project Management, Java development, with a focus on Java EE technologies.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Scrum).
  • Deep understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
