Job description
Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of the Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) framework to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Conduct regular assessments and walkthroughs of internal processes to identify control gaps and recommend enhancements.
  • Prepare detailed documentation of internal controls, processes, and policies for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Assist in the development and execution of business planning processes, including forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights that inform strategic decision-making and improve operational efficiency.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management highlighting control effectiveness, risks, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist in the follow-up of audit findings and ensure that management action plans are implemented effectively.
  • Provide training and support to staff on internal controls and business planning procedures.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes related to internal controls and financial reporting.
Requirements:

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, CIA) is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in internal controls, audit, or finance roles, preferably with exposure to ICFR compliance.
  • Strong understanding of internal control frameworks, financial regulations, and auditing standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings clearly to stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other financial analysis software.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is preferred; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
