Assistant Manager - Human Resources & Administration (Paradigm Mall JB)

We're looking for an Assistant Manager - HR & Admin. He or she will be responsible for supporting the HR department in various functions within Paradigm Mall JB including employee relations, talent management, performance management and HR operations.

Work closely with employees and management to provide guidance, support and solutions to HR-related issues while ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant labor laws.

Your Responsibilities:

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and grievances. Facilitate discussions and negotiations to find mutually acceptable solutions when conflicts or disputes between employees or between employees and management.

Talent Management:

  • Assist in the recruitment and selection process by participating in interviews, reviewing resumes, conducting initial interviews and assessing candidates for skills, qualifications, and cultural fit.

HR Operations:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, employment history, performance evaluations, and training records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.

Compliance and Policy Adherence:

  • Stay up to date with labor laws, regulations and industry trends to ensure compliance.

Leadership and Management:

  • Lead the entire HR & Admin Department to ensure alignment with business goals and smooth operations.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a generalist HR role, preferably within the retail or mall industry
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, labour laws and compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in using HR information systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Proactive, organized and able to work effectively in a team environment
