Provide support to the management and BU Heads in analyzing township financial results to enable the management and township heads to make accurate and informed business decisions.
Ensure company accounts are kept in an accurate manner and comply with accounting standards to provide accurate financial data for business decisions.
Manage taxation, budgeting, other financial matters, and the internal control system of property development companies in charge.
Job Responsibilities
Financial
Responsible for monthly financial statements to be prepared accurately and in a timely manner.
Responsible for monthly PDM reporting.
Review monthly reconciliations including timely clearance of reconciling items and general accounting processes.
Taxation
Responsible for timely and accurate submission of corporate tax and indirect tax (including GST/SST/etc.).
Budget/Forecast
Responsible for reviewing the annual Budget Plan/forecast to be set as the measurement tool against current achievement to enhance quality of decision-making.
Audit
Liaise with auditors and responsible for reviewing statutory accounts in accordance with MFRS.
Feasibility Study
Review feasibility studies for townships to achieve profitable projects and meet targets.
Continuously monitor the overall financial feasibility of townships against approved feasibility.
Treasury and Cash Flow
Review township cash flow projections during the annual budget preparation and ensure continuous monitoring and updates of cash flow projections.
Township
Attend to financial queries from other departments for the township in charge.
Review pricing papers and other financial documents relating to the township.
Involve in meetings organized by the township to update on the latest developments and provide financial input to enhance the feasibility of the product.
Support townships in other financial and tax matters.
Internal Control
Ensure financial transactions are performed within the Group policies and procedures and recommend areas of improvement.
Assess system adequacy and business processes for better efficiency and effectiveness.
People and Communication
Coach and guide subordinates in all financial matters relating to the township.
Education/Professional Qualification
Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
Professional Experience
Preferably someone who has membership in ACCA, CIMA, MICPA, ICAEW, or CPA.
