Assistant Manager, Finance

JOB DESCRIPTIONS:

1. Responsible for all accounts & finance-related assignments.
2. Responsible for managing monitoring and controlling the actual cost against the budgeted/projected costs.
3. Promptly report and prepare analysis and schedules monitoring the consumption/usage/major costs and expenses including CAPEX & highlight to management on any abnormal variances.
4. Perform and prepare physical monthly stock count, report & stock reconciliation report.
5. Confirms financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses; coordinating the collection, consolidation, and evaluation of financial data; preparing reports.
6. Maintains accounting controls by establishing a chart of accounts and defining accounting policies and procedures.
7. Guides other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policy and applying observations and recommendations to operational issues.
8. Ensure timely and accurate closure of month-end accounts, preparation of management accounts, weekly working capital report, and weekly cash flow report.
9. To perform a periodic review of accounting controls in maintaining the accuracy and reliability of all data in compliance with the management directive and legal requirements.
10. Supervising the team to ensure the efficiency of the day-to-day operation of overall Accounting & Financial functions and ensure compliance with Internal Control Procedures.
11. To perform periodic checking on accounting documents and records.
12. Maintenance of Fixed Assets register, and update FA status.
13. Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
14. Prepare consolidation accounts of group of companies.
15. Familiar with manufacturing industry and accounts (internal financial statement that businesses use to track their production costs, materials used, and inventory levels).
16. To undertake other ad-hoc assignments as may be required from time to time by the management.

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
• Professional Certification in ACCA, CPA, CIMA, and MIA will be added advantages.
• At least 7 - 10 years of working experience in the related field, preferably with 2 to 3 years of audit working experience and/or from a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in MYOB & AutoAccount is preferable.
• Good communication and presentation skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.
• Able to handle a full set of accounts; knowledge in cost counting and control will be an added advantage.
• Proven leadership and supervisory skills, able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Able to work as a team player and efficiently under pressure and tight reporting deadlines.
