Job description

Assistant Manager - Facilities and Services

  • Ensure the maintenance and operation of public facilities, including offices, roads, street lighting, landscaping, rest area and other company facilities;
  • Ensure all facilities are compliant with safety and environmental regulations;
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and preventive maintenance programs;
  • Ensure the provision of food and beverage services to employees, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness;
  • Oversee accommodation facilities for workers, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and comfort;
  • Coordinate transportation services for employees, ensuring reliability and efficiency;
  • Prepare and manage budgets for facilities and services, monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving measures;
  • Conduct regular financial analysis to ensure spending aligns with budgetary constraints;
  • Lead and develop a team of facilities and service staff, providing guidance, training, and performance management;
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and continuous improvement;
  • Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to ensure quality and timely delivery of services;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand and meet their needs;
  • Develop and manage contract relationships with external service providers;
  • Develop policies and regulations required to achieve the objectives of the department;
  • Collaborate with senior management to implement policies that enhance operational efficiency and safety;
  • Ensure all facilities and services comply with health and safety regulations;
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and mitigate risks;

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in facilities management (e.g., IFMA, BIFM) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in facilities and services management, preferably in a large-scale industrial setting.
  • Proven track record of managing budgets and leading teams effectively.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in facilities management software and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
