Due to the aggressive development of the business, they are looking for an Assistant Manager, Costing to further add value to the business from a finance perspective.

Job Description

As this role is essential to the organization, it is vital candidate comes with a track record of delivery and proven experience. Among the many responsibilities are listed below:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Oversee monthly and yearly financial closings, conduct in-depth financial analysis, and prepare insightful reports.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and manage budgets and forecasts, analyzing variances and driving performance improvement.
  • Cost Management: Build and maintain accurate product costing models, analyze cost drivers, and identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Process Improvement: Streamline processes, ensure data integrity, and enhance efficiency within the finance function.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with production and operations teams to support business objectives.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal Assistant Manager, Costing will be confident in leading from the front and be responsible for the growth of the company and must possess the below requirements:

Key Requirements:

  • Experience: 5-10 years of relevant experience, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or related field. Postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems. Strong analytical skills and ability to handle large datasets.
  • Costing Expertise: Practical knowledge of costing methodologies (standard, activity-based).
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Fluency in Mandarin and English.
