Career Opportunities: Assistant Manager, Corporate Sales (21630)

The role is responsible for account implementation and management for National corporate clients, focusing on account awareness marketing activities and activation. This includes working closely with clients and marketing representatives to plan campaigns, develop materials, conduct marketing research, and devise strategies to boost MHbiz Travel product sales (MHbiz PLUS and MHbiz PRO). Additionally, the role involves managing negotiations with partners, chambers of commerce, and other business associations to facilitate cross-selling opportunities and expand penetration into partners' databases.

Key Accountability

  • Assist Manager Corporate Sales in the account implementation and management for National corporate clients, focusing on the marketing of Corporate programs and campaigns.
  • Manage Tier 1 & Tier 2 corporate accounts and to ensure growth in revenue, meet contractual targets, and achieve overall corporate sales revenue target.
  • Establish account management plans to conduct regular performance reviews and visits to increase Malaysia Airlines' share of wallet.
  • Analyze corporate clients' travel spend reports to maximize contract success and increase travel spending on Malaysia Airlines.
  • Execute contract implementation activities to ensure operational excellence in line with RFP and contractual requirements.
  • Support contract implementation processes, including fare filing requirements, fare and ticketing instructions, and contract documentation.
  • Manage HQ corporate sales marketing initiatives, with a primary focus on MHbiz PRO, by using market research and analysis to guide marketing strategies and planning.
  • Track marketing performance and return on investment (ROI), and prepare weekly marketing reports for management meetings (e.g., weekly Commercial meetings).
  • Liaise with potential partners to establish partnerships and monitor conversion plans, such as leads-to-accounts campaigns, as agreed with partners.

Qualifications & Working Experience

A bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 4-5 years of relevant experience, or a diploma in a related discipline with 6-8 years of relevant experience.

  • Possesses a pleasant corporate appearance and image, with a mature, positive attitude and a self-driven approach.
  • Demonstrates strong working and relationship management skills.
  • Proficient in computer usage, with expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other office applications.
  • Excels in communication, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Experienced in managing corporate accounts and knowledgeable about corporate ticketing terms and conditions.
  • Each corporate client manages their corporate travel differently, utilizing various approaches such as Corporate Closed User Groups (CUGs), Fulfilment Travel Agents, In-house Bookers, Private Portals, Travel Management Companies (TMCs), and other New Distribution Channels (NDCs) tailored to their unique travel needs and cost management objectives.
  • This role requires a high level of corporate commercial awareness and the ability to understand complex business issues within the dynamic and evolving corporate travel ecosystem. The challenging nature of this role demands adaptability and a willingness to embrace fluid and ever-changing market conditions to ensure Malaysia Airlines achieves its corporate revenue segment targets.
