Job description

Job Purpose

Duties include coordinating daily accounting activities, managing accounts payable, receivable, and GL, monitoring the status of each project, reviewing reports (cash flows, monthly management reports, yearly management reports, and quarterly GST reports), monitoring and reviewing BRD (Business requirements document) to ensure process flows and project status.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support in daily tasks;
  • Support process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and quality of client deliverables;
  • Support the technical and soft skills development of the Assistant/s through on-the-job training;
  • Coach and supervise the work to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal procedures;
  • Collaborate with other Transfingo teams, both domestic and international, to meet client's needs;
  • Review and analyze monthly/yearly management accounts and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy;
  • Maintain audit schedules and ensure all reconciling items are adjusted;
  • Review GST returns to ensure timely and accurate submission;
  • Ensure monthly financial and management accounts are prepared on time and in compliance with statutory requirements, corporate guidelines, and relevant Financial Reporting Standards (FRS);
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of year-end management accounts and audit schedule for submission to external auditors.

Others

  • Attend to and complete ad-hoc requests from the Manager from time to time;
  • Support the Manager on operational and technical matters and any other ad-hoc matters as assigned.

Experience/ Skills Required

  • Degree in Accounting and preferably with ACCA/CIMA/CPA qualification;
  • A member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants/ACCA is an added advantage;
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience and with a minimum of 2 years experience at the managerial level in an MNC or high-volume environment;
  • Proficient in MS Office and mid to large-scale ERP systems;
  • Mature, organized, meticulous, and highly initiative with a positive attitude;
  • Candidates MUST BE fluent in Mandarin as the role requires the candidate to work with products that are marketed in Mandarin.
