Job description

The Assistant Manager, Accounting will be responsible for overseeing the accounting team, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting financial reporting and compliance. This role involves supervising accounting functions, managing financial transactions, and assisting with audits. Key responsibilities include:


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and disclosures.
  2. General Ledger Management: Oversee general ledger activities, ensuring proper recording of financial transactions.
  3. Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  4. Reconciliation: Supervise regular account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  5. Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial planning.
  6. Compliance & Controls: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulations. Maintain internal controls.
  7. Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing queries.
  8. Team Supervision: Supervise and train accounting staff to ensure efficient operations and accurate financial processes.

Job Requirements:
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Candidates with professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are preferred.
  • Proven experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software and principles.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
