As an Assistant Manager in Account & Tax at OCI TerraSus Sdn Bhd, you will play a pivotal role in managing our accounting functions and ensuring compliance with all tax regulations. You will collaborate closely with various teams to maintain accurate financial records and support the company's financial planning and reporting efforts.
Responsibilities include:
Overseeing day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring timely processing of transactions
Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations, including tax returns and filings
Conducting financial analyses to identify areas for improvement and efficiency
Collaborating with external auditors and tax advisors during audits
Managing budget preparation and cash flow projections
Training and supervising junior staff in accounting and tax processes
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
At least 5 years of experience in accounting and tax management
Strong knowledge of local accounting standards and tax regulations
Proven experience in financial reporting and analysis
Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Experience in leading and mentoring a small team
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
