Role Purpose

The Assistant Manager for AV Post Production at MAG plays a pivotal role in overseeing the post-production of audiovisual content to ensure high-quality deliverables for marketing campaigns, in-flight entertainment, corporate communications, and various other airline initiatives. This position is essential for maintaining and enhancing the airline's brand image through compelling and visually engaging content.

Key Accountability

  1. Independently handle all aspects of post-production, including video editing, sound design, color correction, and final packaging of audiovisual content.
  2. Ensure the timely completion of post-production tasks while maintaining quality standards and adhering to the airline's brand guidelines.
  3. Perform comprehensive quality checks on edited videos, audio tracks, and visual effects to uphold high production standards.
  4. Collaborate with the AV Producer and other stakeholders to address feedback and make necessary revisions.
  5. Independently organize and manage audiovisual assets, including raw footage, graphics, and sound files, ensuring they are easily accessible and well-maintained.
  6. Stay updated with the latest post-production software, techniques, and industry trends, autonomously troubleshooting technical issues and optimizing the post-production workflow.
  7. Collaborate with the creative team and other stakeholders to ensure that post-production aligns with project objectives, messaging, and brand identity.
  8. Assist in the management of post-production budgets, monitoring costs and making recommendations for cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications & Working Experience

Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Media Studies, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in AV post production, with at least 2 years in a role requiring independent post-production work.

Areas of Experience

  1. Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and audio editing software (e.g., Adobe Audition, Pro Tools).
  2. Strong understanding of visual storytelling, color correction, and sound design.
  3. Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  4. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with the creative team.
  6. Knowledge of aviation industry trends and regulations is a plus.
