Draft and review legal documents, contracts, and agreements related to the Company’s operations, including those for conveyancing, litigation, corporate, and commercial transactions.
Conduct thorough legal research to stay updated on new laws, regulations, and industry developments. Advise management on potential legal risks and issues that may arise from these changes.
Collaborate with and liaise effectively with external legal counsels and consultants for expert advice and support.
Act as the custodian of all legal documents, ensuring their proper storage, filing, and easy retrieval.
Provide timely updates and detailed reports as requested by the Head of Department (HOD) or management.
Handle ad-hoc legal tasks and assignments as directed by the HOD or management.
Requirements:
Recognized Law degree with at least 3 years related working experience in an established legal firm and/or performing as in-house counsel/Senior Executive in a large organisation.
Able to provide practical solutions to complex legal issues within short and limited timeline.
Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Knowledge of Mandarin is an added advantage as the role requires dealing with Mandarin speaking clients.
Excellent interpersonal, management, planning, organisational, negotiation and drafting skills with a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
