Assistant Head/Head, School of Nursing

School Overview:

Tung Shin Academy of Nursing is a prestigious institution with a rich history, established in 1881. We are seeking an exceptional individual to fill the role of Assistant Head/Head.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement strategic plans to drive the academy's growth and success.
2. Oversee the daily operations of the academy, ensuring seamless functioning and high standards of education, student welfare, and staff performance.
3. Ensure the well-being, health, and security of students, providing support services to enhance their overall experience.
4. Organize staff workloads, teaching assignments, and resources to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
5. Manage recruitment of teaching staff and students, aligning with professional body requirements.
6. Supervise examination planning and execution, maintaining academic integrity.
7. Review and revise policies, rules, regulations, and the academy's philosophy.
8. Ensure students' living conditions meet necessary standards.
9. Represent the academy in public relations activities and contribute to branding efforts.
10. Participate in committee work and collaborate with other educational institutions to enhance the academy's reputation.

Requirements:

1. A Master's degree in Nursing or a related field.
2. A licensed and registered nurse.
3. Possession of a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) for nurses.
4. Post-basic qualifications or a Teaching Methodology Certificate is an advantage.
5. A minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience in nursing.
6. At least five (5) years of teaching experience, ideally in a nursing or healthcare education setting.
7. A minimum of five (5) years of management experience, with a demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams.

Expected Salary Range: RM80,000 - RM120,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
