Your Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the Finance and Accounting Department, ensuring that all accounting records and systems are properly maintained.
Take full responsibility for the company’s Financial and Management Accounting functions.
Ensure the timely preparation and submission of monthly and quarterly management reports.
Manage treasury functions, including cash flow planning and banking operations.
Oversee inventory management and costing, ensuring accurate stock control and valuation.
Implement effective credit management strategies to ensure proper handling of accounts receivable.
Monitor and control cost management initiatives to minimize unnecessary expenses and wastage.
Oversee the company’s computerized accounting system and IT financial controls.
Develop, compile, and track the company’s annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
Prepare and provide risk management reports on an ongoing basis.
Handle all tax-related matters, ensuring full compliance with statutory requirements.
Review, implement, and continuously monitor financial policies and procedures, incorporating internal controls.
Act as the main liaison with government agencies, including the Customs & Excise Department, Statistics Department, and MIDA.
Assist in group financial reporting requirements as needed.
Coordinate with external auditors on year-end audits and financial reporting matters.
Requirements
Diploma holder, ACCA will be added advantage.
Proficient in full sets of accounts.
Proficient in taxation and costing.
Prefer manufacturing industry background.
