Develop financial strategies, forecasts, and budgets for construction projects.
Monitor project costs, ensuring alignment with budgets and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Ensure accurate bookkeeping, accounting records, and financial reporting in compliance with industry regulations (IFRS, GAAP, or other relevant standards).
Oversee tax planning and compliance, including VAT, GST, and corporate tax regulations related to construction.
Manage audits and liaise with external auditors and financial institutions.
Ensure compliance with local laws, financial regulations, and company policies.
Implement cost-control measures and assess financial risks associated with projects.
Evaluate contract terms, financial risks, and payment schedules to safeguard the company's financial interests.
Monitor cash flow, ensuring timely collections and supplier payments.
Manage insurance policies and claims related to construction projects.
Support financing strategies for large-scale construction projects, including loans and investments.
Analyze and advise on financial feasibility and return on investment for new projects.
Work with banks and financial institutions to secure funding as needed.
Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring efficient financial operations.
Collaborate with project managers, procurement, and other departments to ensure financial alignment.
Provide financial insights to senior management for strategic decision-making.
Education & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CFA, or CMA is preferred.
MBA in Finance is a plus.
Experience:
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in the construction industry.
Experience in project-based financial management and cost control.
Strong knowledge of construction accounting, project costing, and contract management.
Proficiency in financial software (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or industry-specific tools).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Understanding of tax laws, financial regulations, and compliance in the construction sector.
