Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely preparation and accuracy of financial statements, management reports and internal monthly reporting.
  • Work closely with BSC (Business Services Centre) on day to day finance operations (i.e.. AP, AR, GL, FA & Treasury) and month end closing activities.
  • Monitor fixed asset and monthly balance sheet management including accounts (i.e. bank, expenses, provision for doubtful debts) reconciliation review.
  • Oversee hedge contracts, cashflow management and review of outgoing payments.
  • Preparation of annual budget and periodic forecast exercise.
  • Work closely with various cost centre owner in setting and spending within their department budget.
  • Ensure internal controls, policies and procedures are followed and financial reports are maintained in accordance with Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Responsible in transfer pricing document preparation, direct tax and indirect tax filing and ensure timely submission of tax filings.
  • Liaise with company secretarial, tax agent, auditor and other regulatory bodies including preparation of relevant schedules and supporting documentation for regulatory filings or audits.
  • Identify and pursue continuous improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and effectiveness of processes.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis, special projects and assist in the preparation of reports / presentation thereafter as and when required.

Qualifications

  • Degree in accounting or professional qualification or equivalent.
  • Holds an Accounting Professional Qualification with a renowned Accounting body / association (e.g .ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or ACA equivalent).
  • At least 5 years working experience in finance or accounting with at least 1 years in managerial role.
  • Knowledge and experience with SAP preferred.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Power BI.
  • Have the ability to view a problem / issue from different perspective and then develop a practical or value added solution to support business decision.
  • High ethical standards, self-management and good communication skill and team player
