Job Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the Finance Manager to manage the entire spectrum of accounting functions including daily operations, financial reporting, budget preparation, statutory audit & tax and business control function of the Firm.
  2. Ensure full compliance on all internal policies and local statutory guidelines incl. audit & tax.
  3. Supervise the Accounts team and oversee daily operations and handle month-end closing and financial reports of the firm (profit & loss and balance sheet, lawyers’ financial performance) within the set deadlines.
  4. Handle and review full set accounts for the firm and another two (2) entities and prepare various periodical reports (including management reports, analysis cashflow forecast and ad hoc reports).
  5. Responsible for AR credit review & control, including monthly aging analysis, review on provision for doubtful debts, write-off request and liaise with respective lawyers and clients.
  6. Review fixed assets register and monitor capital expenditure actual spent vs Budget.
  7. Assist and coordinate on annual budgeting and periodic forecasts.
  8. Involve in handling SST and tax matter and ensure tax compliance with requirements of IRB and RMCD.
  9. Lead in handling the annual audit and tax computation.
  10. Ensure daily operations are adhered to financial internal control requirements and assist in enforcing internal control measures.
  11. Assist Manager to align the processes and flows. Process improvement from time to time to upgrade process and procedure for better efficiency.
  12. Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, clients, vendors and other relevant authorities.
  13. Ad hoc project from time to time upon business needs.

Requirements:

  1. Applicant must be a Malaysian citizen.
  2. Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy/Finance/Professional qualification in ACCA/CIMA or equivalents.
  3. Good command in English & Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be a self-driven and self-motivated person, resourceful, fast learner, proactive, committed, adaptable, team player and strong attention to details.
  5. MIA membership is an added advantage.
  6. Minimum 5-7 years working experience in an accounting environment.
  7. Must have good command (intermediate/advance) of Microsoft Excel and any Accounting systems.
  8. Self-starter with good organization, and multitasking skills with the passion to deliver quality work while meeting tight deadlines.
  9. Able to work independently.
  10. Candidate with supervisory experience is an added advantage.
