About the role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Facilities or Facilities Manager to join our team at Unisteel Technology (M) Sdn Bhd in Iskandar Puteri Johor. This is a full-time role that will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of our facilities.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting in the day-to-day management and maintenance of our facilities, including coordinating repairs, maintenance, and cleaning schedules.
• Monitoring and reporting on the performance and utilisation of our facilities.
• Liaising with external service providers and contractors to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of services.
• Implementing and enforcing health, safety, and security protocols to protect our assets and employees.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of long-term facilities management strategies and servicing building equipment.
• Overseeing and supervising the quality of work for other employees to ensure that all tasks are performed correctly, efficiently, and effectively.
• Recommending maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and facility design modifications.
• Managing and reviewing service contracts e.g. Pest Control, Cleaner agreement renewal etc.
• Responsible for sanitation aspects of plant, warehouse, building & surrounding grounds including pest control program for plant.
• Assisting in Customer Audits and following up on corrective actions.
• Communicating workplace safety precautions to employees.

What we're looking for

• Relevant experience in facilities management or a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing facilities management industry.
• Strong understanding of building systems, maintenance, and operations.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using facilities management software and tools.
• A proactive, detail-oriented, and customer-focused approach.
