If you are looking to grow in an exciting career filled with opportunities and potential, we are seeking a professional to join our team as an Assistant Business Development Director for the Employee Benefit-Marketing team.

Job Purpose:

To assist superior to activate, grow and expand productivity of Employee Benefits Scheme and to retain existing renewal business via broking/direct/agency channels.

The Role:

  • Working with Superior to plan and strategize to achieve personal sales target by developing renewal and new business.
  • Responsible for business development of GID-EB through distribution channel to achieve business targets.
  • Track sales performance and key initiatives to prepare weekly sales report.
  • Management of the day-to-day distribution support and activities for existing corporate clients.
  • Building and maintaining professional relationships and actively engage with brokers to ensure deliver and uphold high level of service experience.
  • To assist in organizing events, employee briefing, CUR presentation for corporate clients.
  • To monitor seamless implementation, including policy enrolment, briefing, policy set up and billing issuance.
  • Involve in projects or initiatives that will further grow the overall EB business.
  • Champion culture and conduct behavioral expectations within the Department/Division.
  • Collaborate proactively and transparently with internal stakeholders (Operation, Finance, Claims, etc.) to optimize customer experience.
  • To follow up on outstanding premiums & claims recoveries.
  • Adhere to Credit Control Procedures (CCP).
  • Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
  • Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
  • Highlights any potential concerns/risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.

The Person:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Administration, Insurance, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in marketing or sales related role in financial industry. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Good communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Industry practices, knowledge on competitors and their products.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, public holidays or after office hours for training, product launches or special events.
  • Excellent ability to communicate, present, persuade and influence effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong sales and customer service skills, with the ability to assess client needs, provide quality services and uphold high standards.
  • Result-driven – signifies that when work on project and always look to provide the best result.
  • Vacancy is available in Central region and Penang.

  • High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork.
