Assistant Architect

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join FAA Atelier, a dynamic architecture firm based in Kuchai Lama, Kuala Lumpur. As an Assistant Architect, you will play a key role in the design and development of innovative architectural projects, contributing to the firm's commitment to excellence in design. This full-time position offers the chance to work alongside experienced architects and develop your skills in a collaborative and supportive environment.

What you'll be doing

• Assist in the preparation of architectural drawings, sketches, and models to support the design process
• Collaborate with the design team to interpret client requirements and develop creative solutions
• Contribute to the production of construction documentation, including plans, elevations, and details
• Participate in site visits and coordinate with contractors to ensure the successful implementation of designs
• Conduct research and analysis to inform the design process, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
• Assist in the preparation of client presentations and design proposals

What we're looking for

• A bachelor's degree in architecture or a related field
• 1-3 years of experience in an architectural design role, preferably in a similar fast-paced studio environment
• Proficiency in using architectural design software, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative design solutions
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
• Familiarity with Malaysian building codes and regulations
