Assistant Accounts Manager

Reports to: Finance Manager and will be responsible to handle a full spectrum of finance functions for the subsidiaries.

1. Perform financial analysis to highlight areas for improvement, variance to Management.
2. Manage credit control and follow-up on customer-due accounts.
3. Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
4. Supervise and guide subordinates in their respective job functions (such as financial reporting, accounts receivables, accounts payables, costing, fixed assets, and banking) to ensure smooth operation.
5. Responsible for statutory compliance such as auditor reports, company tax rerun, sales returns, and transfer pricing documentation.
6. Assist in all respects accounting functions, budget, and ad-hoc projects as assigned.
7. Able to interact and liaise with auditors, tax agents, insurance agents, and regulators, ensuring timely submission of annual statutory audits, corporate tax, income tax, and SST filings.

Job Requirements

1. Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Professional Qualification.
2. Industrial Background Preferred: Min 3 years’ experience in the related field is required for this position.
3. Industrial Background Preferred: At least 2 years of working experience in the manufacturing field.
4. Required skills: Accounting Standard and Tax knowledge.
5. Able to work independently to meet tight deadlines, have a sense of urgency and highly organized.
6. Strong leadership skills, proactive and result-oriented.
7. Candidate must be willing to travel (ad-hoc basis to Bandar Enstek/ Batu Pahat/Kalimantan /etc).
