Coordinates daily, weekly, and monthly account activities of the accounts team including timely and accurate accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation of all corporate accounts, cash flow planning, disbursements, invoicing, and monthly profit & loss accounts.
Liaise with customer and vendors/sub-contractors to resolve invoice discrepancies and follow up on collection/outstanding payments to ensure a healthy cash flow.
Review all project costing/billings/collections/receivables/payables and generate forecast vs actual sales project performance with project teams to highlight current progress.
Oversees the processing of utilities, office expenses, project billings, purchase order issuance, and contract tender/performance bond application to ensure timely and accurate progress claims, payment summaries, and final account statements to vendors/sub-contractors.
Liaise with relevant external parties such as auditors, bankers, tax agents, company secretary, solicitors, and statutory bodies such as the Inland Revenue Board to ensure all legal and regulatory/statutory compliance.
Liaise with bankers on the monitoring of the company’s bank facilities and to obtain information on loans and new facilities that will benefit GSSB.
Human Resource Responsibilities:
Coordinate manpower requisitioning with departments and ensure staff recruitment follows company’s policies and procedures (e.g., candidate screening, job interviews) in order to recruit the best qualified candidates for vacant positions.
Coordinate and conduct orientation for manager-level employees to ensure that new managers are equipped with the necessary resources and information to start work.
Review and issue HR documentation such as employment letters, employee details, probation and confirmation, leave, benefits and ensure that they are always up to date.
Perform full spectrum payroll processing to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing in accordance with statutory requirements.
Identify and compile training needs to develop and implement training plans/schedules for all employees.
Propose revisions and amendments of HR policies to the Finance Director to ensure that policies are competitive with market practices and implement newly approved policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or Finance, preferably with CPA, ACCA, or other relevant professional certification.
At least 3 years of working experience in an accounting/finance and human resource function.
Hands-on knowledge of all aspects of accounting, finance, human resource, payroll functions, and compliance with related statutory bodies.
Experience in financial and management reporting background with construction and/or related business.
Familiar with SQL Accounting System software or other accounting related software.
Leadership capability and supervisory skills in managing teams and projects, including regular progress reviews and plans for improvement.
Able to analyze and present data in an impactful & convincing manner.
Strong analytical skills and ability to diagnose and resolve matters expediently.
Able to communicate and write well in English Language and Bahasa Malaysia.
Basic computer skills and possess good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and other common software.
