Assistant Accountant

About the role

We are searching for an exceptional Assistant Accountant to join our dynamic team at Niche Capital Emas Holdings Berhad ("NICE") in our Mutiara Damansara, Selangor office. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in supporting the accounting operations and financial reporting processes of our organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries
• Assisting with the preparation of financial statements, budget reports, and other management reports
• Performing data analysis and providing insights to support business decision-making
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and accurate completion of accounting tasks
• Adhering to internal control procedures and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
• Providing administrative support to the accounting department as needed

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years of experience in an assistant accountant or similar role, preferably within the accounting/finance industry
• Strong proficiency in accounting software (SQL), MS Office, and financial reporting tools
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills to ensure the accuracy of financial data
• Effective communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
• Demonstrated ability to work well in a team and adaptability to changing priorities
• Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or Finance
• Professional accounting certification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA) is an advantage
