The Art Director must concept and execute creative campaigns that blend storytelling and visual innovation. The ideal candidate will be able to express their ideas clearly, provide direction and leadership to team members, and execute company objectives. You will lead a team of graphic designers and partner with cross-functional departments on strategy and execution.

Overview

You will work in a creative, fast-paced environment that requires proven leadership and vision execution by partnering with cross-functional departments to translate business and marketing objectives into clear, compelling, and visually exciting ideas.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Provide visionary leadership, responsible for managing & supporting a team of graphic designers.
  2. Set and communicate a clear creative direction, collaborating with the Operation/Marketing Team to ensure timely project execution.
  3. Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing creative team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  4. Conduct regular performance reviews, offer constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for professional development.
  5. Develop and implement creative strategies aligned with overall brand objectives and resonating with target audiences.
  6. Oversee the entire creative process, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of projects from concept development to execution.
  7. Monitor project budgets, timelines, and resources for efficient and effective project management.
  8. Uphold and evolve the brand identity across all creative assets and campaigns.
  9. Ensure that creative outputs consistently reflect the brand's values, messaging, and visual identity.
  10. Stay on top of the latest standards, processes, and trends in the visual design and digital media field.
  11. Collaborate closely with the Director to plan, align, and conceptualize new ideas, products, and projects.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in graphic design, multimedia, advertising design, or related fields.
  2. 5 years or more of hands-on experience, strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout techniques.
  3. Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within an advertising agency, design studio, or in-house creative team.
  4. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator & After Effect)
  5. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  6. Detail-oriented with a keen eye for aesthetics and visual consistency.
  7. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  8. A creative portfolio showcasing a range of design work and demonstrating strong conceptual thinking.
  9. Passion for design, and always thinking of ways to improve experience through creativity.
  10. Ability to motivate and inspire top performance against assigned projects.
  11. Dynamic, creative personality, effective at engaging and influencing various audiences.
  12. Strong craft and problem-solving skills.
  13. An enthusiastic collaborator, and be open to other people’s ideas. But at the same time, to show initiative and have accountability for the stories you’re telling.
  14. Have a keen understanding of local market creative and cultural nuances.
