Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Area Sales Manager to oversee the Geographical area of Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Johor and the East Coast of Malaysia. As leader of your territory, you will be in-charge of planning, developing, and implementing the business plan for your geographical area and your team’s area to ensure company objectives are achieved. You will measure, track and analyse your total area.

Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Strategy Development: Design and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets in the assigned area.
  2. Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and motivate a team of sales representatives to maximize performance and achieve individual and team goals.
  3. Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape; adapt strategies accordingly. Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, hospitals, and pharmacies; ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  4. Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and support to the sales team to enhance product knowledge, sales techniques, and compliance with industry regulations.
  5. Analyze sales data and KPIs to evaluate team performance; implement corrective actions as necessary.
  6. Work closely with marketing and medical team to ensure alignment of sales strategies, activities and medical knowledge.
  7. Prepare regular reports on sales activities, market conditions, and team performance for senior management.
  8. Ensure all sales activities comply with pharmaceutical regulations and company policies.

Requirements & Skill:

  1. Proven experience as Area Sales Manager/ Senior Product Specialist.
  2. Bachelor's degree in a science or business-related subject or equivalent.
  3. Minimum 2 years of experience as an Area Sales Manager/ Senior Product Specialist in Hospital/ GP channel within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with a track record based on exceptional commercial acumen and selling skills.
  4. Willing to travel outstation and possess own car.
  5. Excellent Selling skills, Strong Interpersonal & Communication Skills, Organisational Skills with a Positive Attitude.
  6. Develop an expert-level understanding of the company's products or services.
  7. Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly understand and articulate complex product features and functionalities.
