Area Manager (Southern)

BeautyEdge is a distributor of skincare and cosmetic consumer products in Southeast Asia, specifically in Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. The company is the exclusive distributor for renowned brands such as Dr.Wu, CLIO, Peripera, Goodal, Dermatory Rejuran, Banila Co, Rovectin, and The Balm.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Area Manager at BeautyEdge located in Johor Bahru. The Area Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the sales operations in the assigned area, collaborating with retailers to promote and sell products, analyzing market trends, managing promoters and in-store merchandising displays.

1. Oversee and ensure the efficient and effective operation of the business in Southern Malaysia.
2. Recruit, hire, train, and supervise promoters in your designated area.
3. Establish and maintain strong in-store relationships with store management and staff.
4. Develop and grow the customer base and database for sales and marketing initiatives.
5. Ensure proper brand and merchandise display and concept consistency at all times.
6. Oversee the execution of all POSM related to sales, promotions, and product information.
7. Conduct routine visits to retail stores to support merchandise displays.
8. Perform regular inventory checks for assigned outlets.
9. Monitor and report on stock replenishment needs in stores.
10. Set up and execute monthly, seasonal, and in-store promotions, including product sampling.
11. Support the company’s sales and marketing initiatives.
12. Analyse and report on product movement and sales trends.
13. Conduct administrative tasks related to marketing, including compiling market data and tracking competitor activities.
14. Maintain accurate store coverage records.
15. Monitor sales performance and work towards achieving company objectives.
16. Perform any ad-hoc duties as required.

Qualifications

1. Sales and Marketing skills
2. Strong communication and negotiation skills
3. Experience in the beauty or skincare industry
4. Ability to analyze market trends and develop strategies
5. Proven track record of meeting sales targets
6. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
7. Fluency in English, Mandarin and local languages
8. Previous experience as an Area Manager or similar role
