Area Manager - Last Mile, SPX Express (Sandakan, Sabah)

Job Description

1. Lead, guide and ensure the hub meets the operations KPI as per directive from Management.
2. Supervise and provide guidance for Hub Managers and Fleet Supervisors to monitor day-to-day productivity levels of each hub.
3. Allocate resources to ensure all hubs are effectively operating.
4. Act as the focal point to coordinate with upstream operations, which include Linehaul, Sorting Centres, and First Mile.
5. Capable of reporting and forecasting/planning hub operation outputs.
6. Fully accountable for cost and synergy with initiatives from HQ that drive operational excellence.
7. Manage and hire Fleet Supervisors and Hub Managers in designated regions across Malaysia.
8. Ensure the hub meets 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardise, Sustain) standards.

Requirements

1. Legally allowed to work in Sabah based on respective state law requirements.
2. Candidates currently based in Sabah are encouraged to apply.
3. Diploma/Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or relevant disciplines is advantageous.
4. Willing to work on a rational shift basis depending on business needs.
5. Basic Microsoft Excel skills.
6. Experience in logistics operations would be an advantage.
7. Familiarity with postcodes/routing/mapping would be beneficial.
8. Excellent leadership and communication skills.
9. Ability to deal with ambiguous situations.
10. Fast learner, comfortable in a dynamic environment.
11. Working pattern: 45 working hours weekly, rotational shift schedule, overtime if required.
12. Working location: Sandakan, Sabah.
