Functions

The Application Specialist is responsible for driving business development and application support for Infrastructure & Information Technology projects and services handled by IDNSB, including Hlink solutions and PACS systems. The specialist will work closely with clinics and hospitals, including those in the private hospitals and government hospitals network and other healthcare institutions in their assigned territory. This role requires a proactive approach to achieving sales targets, supporting customers, and strengthening the company’s market position.

Qualifications & Expectations:

Education:

  • Diploma or Degree in Medical Imaging, Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare IT, Marketing, Business Administration, Mass Communication or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year in business development or technical roles within healthcare IT or medical imaging sectors or equivalent.
  • Proven track record of achieving customer satisfaction.

Skills:

  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and results-oriented with a drive to meet and exceed targets.
  • High level of integrity and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with CIS, PACS systems, DICOM standards, and healthcare IT Infrastructure are added advantages.

Language Proficiency:

  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Other Requirements:

  • Possess a car and be willing to travel frequently.
  • Ability to understand and navigate local healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development

  1. Drive product and marketing activities for Infrastructure & Information Technology systems, including Hlink, PACS, and other emerging projects handled by IDNSB.
  2. Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets, prepare accurate proposals, and quotations.
  3. Conduct effective product presentations and demonstrations to clients, maintaining demo equipment in top working condition.
  4. Research and analyze competitor activities to develop effective business strategies.
  5. Identify and develop new business opportunities, ensuring market penetration and educating clients on IDNSB's product/solutions benefits.
  6. Manage customer inquiries, preparing professional proposals and providing consistent follow-up and after-sales service.
  7. Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor to promote long-term partnerships.

Application & Product Support

  1. Provide expert consultancy to clients on product performance and system applications, conducting site visits, demonstrations, and ongoing support.
  2. Offer guidance on integrating and using IDNSB’s systems, ensuring clients maximize their investment and experience seamless operations.
  3. Continuously upgrade knowledge of IDNSB’s services, products, promotions, and system updates.

Market & Client Management

  1. Collect and analyze market information, providing insights and feedback to management for strategic planning.
  2. Submit timely and detailed reports (daily, weekly, monthly) to the project management team, documenting sales activities, market analysis, and business development progress.
  3. Prepare and maintain comprehensive reports for administrative purposes, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.

Other Responsibilities:

  1. Project a professional image to clients, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues and other associates.
  2. Champion and strive for company and departmental objectives, adhering to IDNSB’s core values.
  3. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned, contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment.
