Application Engineer Manager (Flow Control), AP Malaysia (KL)

As an energic team leader of Application Engineer, you will play a significant role as Head of Application Engineer to collaborate with all regional and global expert teams ensuring that the offerings meet market demands and requirements, develop customer satisfaction, and deliver value-added solutions to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review assigned inquiry and offering product strategies and quotations.
- Set up technical clarifications with customers if required.
- Support Distribution Channel on CPQ systems, setting processes for quotation and order handling with distributors.
- Be responsible for products, quotation tools & software training of new staff and/or agents and upgrading of existing staff in AP.
- Optimize Sales & Service Work Processes and Maintain a Good Filing System for proper records.
- Support Sales and Distribution Channel and manage complaints and issues affecting customer orders, liaising with sales, service, finance, and operations to resolve order issues.
- Prepare and Analyze monthly reports (Order Booking, Backlog, Packed Not Delivered & Net Sales Forecast) for better Sales & Service Target Achievement.
- Manage the workload of the support team in AP and collaborate across functions.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure customer expectations are met.
- Ensure that orders are placed correctly and within the time frame set.
- Support Order Delivery Expediting.
- Support Sales & Service Order Logistics related matters (Logistics Terms/Policies, Cost Control & Service Level Monitoring).
- Support Sales & Service Order Commercial matters (Contract Terms & Conditions, Contract Policies, Approval Grid Awareness, Trade Finance Policies, Finance Policies and Systems Implementation/Release Support).
Beside being engaged, self-motivated, active team player, and having strong leadership with a "can do" attitude, you are equipped with:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in an engineering field (Chemical, Petrochemicals, Instrumentation, and Control).
- Knowledge of Valve & Flow control principles.
- Experience with Salesforce system, M3, SAP, or IScala system.
- Typical minimum relevant experience required: 5-7 years.
- Good knowledge of Flow Control operation processes and systems (Valves is a must).
- Good interpersonal skills and leadership capability to lead a team in a matrixed organization.
- Experience and knowledge of key cultural differences with the ability to adapt communication style accordingly.
- Skilled at working across global boundaries.
- Good communication skills in English, as well as presentation and facilitation skills.
- Good administrative, service-minded, organizational, problem-solving skills, and meticulous working attitude.
