Application Engineer

The candidate application data is kept on the career site servers and sent en-mass back to the Workday tenant when the user clicks submit on the last step. Once the user hits submit, we make POST requests with that data to multiple REST end-points sending the job application back to the Workday tenant. The system will clear out / time out after 60 minutes of inactivity (for records that were not submitted back to Workday).

We are looking for an Application Engineer to cooperate across the organization of Flow Control to provide proper support to the Asia Pacific Sales and Service Team. This position is based in Malaysia, Petaling Jaya.

Your key roles are:

1. To manage inquiries ensuring that quotation proposals made are technically & commercially acceptable by the sales team in accordance with company strategy & policies within due date.
2. To support Sales & Service Order Commercial (Contract Terms & Conditions, Contract Policies, Approval Grid Awareness, Trade Finance Policies, Finance Policies, and Systems Implementation/Release Support).
3. To support Distribution Channel on CPQ systems, setting processes for quotation and order handling with distributors.
4. To be responsible for products, Quotation tools & software training of new staff and/or agents and upgrading of existing staff in AP.
5. To optimize Sales & Service Work Processes and maintain a good filing system for proper records.
6. To support Sales and the Distribution Channel and manage complaints and issues affecting customer orders, liaising where necessary with sales, service, finance, and operations to solve order issues.
7. To prepare and analyze the monthly report (Order Booking, Backlog, Packed Not Delivered & Net Sales Forecast) for better Sales & Service Target Achievement.
8. Work cross-functionally to ensure customer expectations are met.
9. Ensure timely response to customer queries & requirements.

Requirements:

1. University (degree) level.
2. Minimum relevant experience required: 2-5 years.
3. Good experience in leadership.
4. Good knowledge of operation processes and systems.
5. Knowledge of Valve, Control valve sizing, Flow control principles along with Valve Automation including Actuators & Instrumentation.
6. Knowledge of CRM/SRM is an added advantage but not a requirement.
7. Good communication and negotiation skills.
8. Good command of spoken and written English.
9. Good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint applications.
10. Good administrative, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
11. Meticulous working attitude.
12. Positive attitude, highly motivated, and a team player.
13. Experience with Salesforce system, M3, SAP, or IScala system would be an advantage.
14. Well aware of international delivery & Inco terms.
15. Analytical thinking & good organizational skills.
