Opportunity
Provide directional leadership and operational support for master data activities across the ecosystem of Azelis platforms, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) ERP, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Relationship Management (D365 CRM) suite of applications and its related functionalities. The role will partner with the Group-level master data team to define, standardise, and optimise global master data processes that can be replicated and deployed into the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. Additionally, the role will also collaborate with the APAC IT ERP and Group Data Migration teams to map, prepare, and validate master data that is required for all regional M&A Post Merger Integrations (PMI) projects, and Business Process Owners in supporting all regional business improvement projects. The APAC Master Data Manager will ensure that the directional leadership and operational support rendered will be fully in-line with the Group’s Portfolio, Standards and Policies.
Reporting Line & Location
The APAC Master Data Manager will report to the APAC Business Information Manager. The role will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Main Accountabilities
Master Data Governance:
Develop and enforce master data management policies, standards, and procedures. Ensure compliance with corporate governance and regulatory requirements. Establish and maintain data governance frameworks and data stewardship programs.
Data Quality Management:
Oversee the creation, maintenance, and validation of vendor, customer, and product master data. Implement data quality metrics and monitoring processes to ensure data integrity. Identify and resolve data quality issues and inconsistencies. Conduct regular audits and data quality assessments.
Data Management Processes:
Design and optimize data management processes for efficient and accurate data handling. Collaborate with business units to define data requirements and ensure alignment with business needs. Implement and manage master data workflows and approval processes. Ensure timely and accurate data updates and synchronization across systems.
Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data stewards and analysts. Foster a culture of data ownership and accountability within the team. Provide training and support to ensure adherence to data management best practices.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with IT to implement and maintain master data management tools and systems. Collaborate with business units, finance, supply chain, and other stakeholders to address data needs and issues. Communicate data management policies and updates to relevant stakeholders. Act as a liaison between business units and IT for data-related projects and initiatives.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation in data management. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in master data management. Lead and participate in data-related projects and initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
Project Support:

Collaborate with APAC IT ERP and Group Data Migration teams to map, prepare, and validate master data for regional M&A post-merger integrations (PMI) projects. Support regional business improvement projects by managing master data processes and ensuring alignment with Group standards.
Responsibilities / Tasks
Implement and execute the Group’s master data strategy in the APAC countries. Manage the creation and updating of regional product, customer, vendor, and employee master data records in coordination with local/regional business units and in alignment with local legal requirements and Corporate Master Data Management. Collaborate with regional teams (SSC, Finance, Commercial, Supply Chain, IT, HR, SHEQ) to create and maintain master data. Manage and validate master data required for regional M&A PMI projects and business improvement projects. Create and maintain documentation related to master data processes in collaboration with other regions and in alignment with Group standards. Define, establish, and optimize master data processes in collaboration with Group-level and other regional master data management teams. Communicate effectively to ensure alignment across local, regional, and Group stakeholders. Employ project management skills and techniques to support the APAC region. Manage and execute master data operational requirements, including validating product master data, amending sensitive vendor bank details, maintaining employee responsible allocations, and updating master records. Ensure data quality and integrity across the Azelis IT ecosystem. Manage and adhere to required Service Level Agreements (SLA) for day-to-day operational master data activities. Train stakeholders on master data templates for D365 F&O ERP and D365 CRM. Prepare and validate master data for migration into Azelis’ IT systems. Conduct master data clean-up post-Go-live to maintain data integrity and quality.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Management, or related fields. Advanced proficiency in English (speaking and writing). Broad and in-depth knowledge of master data management processes and improvement. Minimum 3 years of people management experience in local and/or international environments. Strong analytical skills and ability to understand and manage data. Adherence to strict data integrity and quality standards. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and Customer Relationship Management (preferred). Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Project management experience is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Flexible and adaptable to fast-changing business needs.
