The Team
- The APAC Marketing Strategy team is responsible for shaping the overarching marketing and brand strategy, working closely with segment, product, channel, and country teams to ensure alignment with company objectives. The team manages a diverse portfolio of research studies and market/customer-focused data analytics to uncover valuable customer insights, ensuring the voice of the customer is integrated throughout the organisation. Additionally, the team leads the end-to-end marketing operational alignment, driving effective planning, coordination, and performance across the APAC Marketing team.
- Key partners include the Executive and Commercial Leadership Teams, Marketing, Product, Technology, Sales and Service, Commercial Growth and Strategy.
- Our team members are based in Melbourne, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, providing an international perspective and collaboration across SEEK’s key markets.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Marketing Strategy Manager to spearhead the development and implementation of marketing strategies for candidates or hirers in the APAC region. This senior role involves close collaboration with product, channel, and country teams to ensure that marketing initiatives are aligned with company objectives and market demands. In this role, you will be tasked with strategically addressing challenges, providing expert advice on crucial marketing decisions, and setting measurable targets for the marketing department.
APAC Marketing Strategy Development & Alignment:
- Lead the way in crafting the overall marketing strategy for candidates or hirers, ensuring it is in line with the company strategy, objectives and key results.
- Apply customer and market insights for relevant and impactful marketing strategies reflecting current trends and customer behaviors.
- Work closely with segment, product, channel, and country teams to tailor marketing initiatives for each market, supporting local and regional goals.
- Establish clear strategic priorities and achievable marketing goals, ensuring focus on the most impactful initiatives.
Strategic Consultation & Collaboration:
- Serve as a strategic advisor for key collaborators across the business, offering insights and recommendations on marketing strategies, challenges, and opportunities.
- Work cross-functionally with various collaborators including country teams to develop and elevate marketing strategies, ensuring they are market-appropriate, actionable, and measurable.
- Provide leadership in responding to strategic questions and challenges, coordinating efforts to drive effective and efficient marketing solutions.
- Develop and present strategic materials to senior collaborators.
Budget & Investment Strategy:
- Lead the development of strategic recommendations for marketing budgets and investments, confirming that marketing spend is aligned with customer impact and business priorities.
Data-Driven Customer Strategy:
- Understand customer needs and behaviors in APAC region; incorporate insights into marketing strategies.
- Work with research and data teams to gather and analyse customer feedback, ensuring that marketing strategies correspond with the evolving needs of candidates and hirers.
Optimise Marketing Strategy Performance:
- Leverage data and insights to evaluate performance, uncover growth opportunities, refine marketing strategies, and measure their efficiency.
- Continuously optimise strategies to maintain a winning edge and drive long-term business success.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in developing and leading marketing strategies in a regional or global context, ideally within the APAC region.
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Marketing, or related field.
- Strong understanding of aligning marketing priorities with business strategy and company objectives.
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with senior leadership to influence strategic direction.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities; capable of conducting detailed analysis and providing strategic insights.
- Expertise in data-driven decision making, including experience with marketing performance metrics, customer analytics, and competitive analysis.
- Excellent communication and collaborator management skills, with the ability to drive collaboration across diverse teams.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with experience crafting executive-level presentations.
